Hi May,

I'm curious...what yoga tradition(s), teachers(s), or books(s) are you referring to in the section of your post beginning "Yoga is a spiritual path - It begins with a formal initiation and it requires strict discipline and training." and then goes on to describe "three levels of initiation"? Thought I was fairly well-versed in yoga literature, but I've not encountered teachings along these lines.

Happy New Year,
Laiki

Hi Madelon,
When you are so sensitive to the Biolaxin tablet that means your body is absorbing very well and you are seeing effect. You blood vessels are not used to be so pliable after you have taken Biolaxin and your blood is floating much better and that is why you feel that way. I would cut the pill in half and then your body will get use to it. That happened to me when I first took it. Now I am very use to it and it is not because you have an empty stomach when you took it. I would not give up. This shows you are absorbing the relaxin.

Mae, I took one biolaxin tablet. I became very shakey after a short while. And had to hurry home and lay down. I am afaid to take another. I think I took it on an empty stomache.Should I take it with food, or at bedtime if I try again. Madelon

What a marvelous story, May! So many of us who have lived outside the U.S. have lost things for political or other reasons. My father had his iron ore mine in Brazil confiscated through "creeping expropriation" because he was a foreigner, right before an attempted Communist takeover. The national railroad simply stopped allowing trains in to move the ore until he "cried Uncle," as we say. He had discovered this body of rich ore, then built roads and railroads in for access. And lost everything. If nothing else, it certainly builds resiliency! At least for a generation or two. And makes us appreciative of the Rule of Law when it truly exists.

Nice post, May. I also prefer Lao Tsu and the Tao to Confucious. Through Lao Tsu and the I Ching I learned not only how to avoid dogmatic thinking but also how to present arguments without personalizing them and thus alienating one you hope will become an ally or at the least will not become an enemy. I especially appreciate his characterizations of the superior man. His discussions of what the superior man would do clarify many conundrums for me.

Here is a little poem of mine I hope will become a lyric for a song:

I Ching!

I try not to talk to Him about you, and our tableaux
I know His opinion on the subject of Should I Let You Go
He'll only tell tell me, "No," you know?
"You know who you need beside you."
I asked Him if I'd see you any more
And He said, "The horse strays
But will return of his own accord."
All I can say is until that day,
May the devil burn up on the threshhold
If he tries to come through your door

REFRAIN 1
So what would it be like if . . . [instr.]
You would see me? I Ching!
That would make three times you've relented
Three times I've been rescued from burning

Maybe you only turn to the light
When you learn you can't hide in the dark
Well, I don't know, and then I throw
Two and twenty-four,
Which means, " A fresh start"

I asked Him how I should act towards you
And He said, "Intractible youth"
"You know the score. Ask me no more.
I've already told you the truth."

REFRAIN 2
So what would it be like if . . . [instr.]
You would see me? I Ching!
That would make three times you relented
And three times by heaven defended

So what would it be like if . . . [instr.]
You would see me? I Ching!
Like history reinvented
With all of its sadness amended

Happy Spring!
Much love,
Cass

I am very interested in the Dr Yue's research on relaxin.
At present I am to do a presentation on Relaxin as part of my access course for university.
Previously I have researched the hormone in regard to presenting issues in my clients.
These were mainly fitness related due to me being a personal trainer.
However, I also believed that this hormone had the range of influences that Dr Yue has spoken about.
Infact I have reached very similar conclusions.
Would love to know more.

Hello May... just wanted to let you know how wonderfully written your article is and thank you for sharing your story.

Sometimes, we get so caught up with business or the business of life... that we forget it's really about living it, experiencing it, sharing it with others and growing as a person.

Excellent read... even got me to click the link to your site to finish the story and comment - now THAT is an accomplishment!

Be well May - thank you again for sharing.
